課程概述 |
莎士比亞「書寫」瘋狂，而他筆下角色則「展演」瘋狂群像。本課藉由細讀莎士比亞六部劇本，探索「瘋狂」此一母題，如何為莎士比亞 (及歐洲文藝復興時代乃至更早期的文學、詩歌、與戲劇) 所「偏愛」。又，瘋狂在莎士比亞早、中、晚期和悲、喜、歷史劇作中，分別有怎樣不同的闡繹、內涵與特徵。課程將考察莎士比亞「再現瘋狂」的場景、意象、角色、語言，並援用近當代跨領域研究者、文化批評家、精神分析、社會學者的理論判讀，企圖思辨瘋狂造就的戲劇效果，究竟是被當成心理�身體疾病，抑或社會誤解、文化(偏見) 論述、審美「趣味」對待。 |

課程要求 |
(1) 本課程不開放旁聽。
(2) 本課程兼顧劇本與理論。
(3) 課程乃討論與傳統授課者講說交相穿插。除特定周次 (詳下表) 安排同學口頭報告外，平日課堂中亦會帶入問題討論。
請同學不要缺席，不要遲到。凡遲到15分鐘以上者，視同缺席計。學期內僅接受含有正當事由的請假一次，並不予扣分。之後每次缺席一次，學期總成績直接扣兩分，兩次三分，三次四分，四次六分，第五次扣十五分，第六次則學期總成績以F等第計。參與本系學製、本系畢製、外文系畢業公演、代表學校參加比賽並出具有效公假證明單，皆不以缺席計。整體評量方式：出席聽課 + 參與研討：為必須。不出席之次數超過規範，則扣分。學期內口頭報告：40%；學習筆記與書摘：10%；小考：10%；期末書面報告 (一篇)：40% |
